Reviews, reviews, reviews on the Amalfi Coast vacation properties

So...you are considering a holiday on the beautiful Amalfi Coast.  Do you want to experience the Luxe Life?  Why not rent a Vacation home !  You will get far more space than a hotel room.  Not to mention privacy, and many amenities.

With a full kitchen you and your Family will be able to immerse yourselves in the true Italian experience.  Go to the little shops, buy fresh, local food, take it "home" and cook a delicious feast.  Maybe you will dine al fresco and drink a toast of limoncello in the moonlight.  Not only a memory making evening, but a money saving evening as well.  With a washing machine available at most rentals you can pack lighter and wash clothes as you need them...even take clean clothes back home.  Ensconced in your Italian residence you will experience real neighborhood culture.  You can meet the merchants who serve the community, dine at restaurants which are not frequented by tourists.  Discover the little bars which the locals favor.  Taste the wines of the region, perhaps have recommendations about paring particular Italian cheeses with wines, or enjoying little tasting plates proudly presented to showcase the delightful foods of Southern Italy.

Many vacationers have a propensity for checking reviews on vacation rentals more and more often.  We have recently added client reviews to our web site.  As a company with a select array of rentals on the Amalfi Coast exclusively serving this region, we are not in a position to post properties on either Tripadvisor.com or Flipkey.com websites.  It is simply too expensive to keep vacation rentals on these sites to be reviewed by clientele. These websites are in no way unbiased.  If they had no bias, they would accept a property review if a traveler made a request.  They do not work this way; they charge a high monthly fee for presence in their portal but we believe we need our own access to client reviews for two reasons, first, it's a minimal cost to maintain this section of our website and second,  because only real people, authentic travelers  who have stayed in our rentals can write these reviews.  

While Tripadvisor and Flipkey allow anyone with an account to post a review about any establishment, we will only allow our guests to do so.  Only the travelers who booked the rental can write the review, after their stay.  We are of the firm belief that those owners/agencies which can afford to pay such a high price may feel that they could take liberties with reviews.  They could be unfairly edited to serve those paying for the service or even going so far as to create 'fake' reviews.  Obviously there is great incentive to publish good reviews.  We believe that Tripadvisor and Flipkey only allege to be a user generated site.  On our website if you wish to and another guest agrees you can even speak to him/her via email.  So, feel free to ask the opinions of past Guests.  We feel certain that you will be pleased by what you hear and that you will want to share with others as well.

Welcome to my blog.  Travel has long been the dream come true for people everywhere.
No matter where one lives, there is an innate, insatiable desire to Go.  One destination that never fails to please is the Amalfi Coast.  I would like to dedicate this effort to helping travellers like you, avoid the possible pitfalls of property rental here in the place which I have called home for my entire life. When you begin your search for an apartment or a villa the first difficulty you will encounter will be how to choose a beautiful property from websites full of beautiful rentals.  Each property is managed.  The agency which manages the rental is as important as the view from your terrace.  In fact, if you arrive at the airport in Naples but your baggage does not arrive, it could take an hour or two to execute the proper paperwork ensuring prompt delivery of your bags.  A simple delay like this could result in a bad beginning to your Holiday.  If you find your way to the apartment but no one is there to meet with you, you are on your own.  If you do not speak Italian even a friendly neighbour may not be able to help.  This scenario and a host of other reasons is why you should choose a villa or an apartment from a local agency.  

Local agencies maintain offices here on the Amalfi Coast and nowhere else.  An agency's address should be visible on the web site, not hidden.  They should have no Switzerland or Hong Kong office, their location should be clearly stated, in Amalfi or Positano or Maiori, the largest towns on the Amalfi Coast.  This in itself will save you money.  The agencies located outside the borders of the Coast offer no support while you are on holiday and none when you check in.  A late night check in with tired children after a long flight in an unfamiliar place is no way to start a vacation.  Some of these non-local agencies do not even make themselves available for telephone inquiries.  What they are good at doing is knowing exactly how much of a balance you owe them.  The agencies located on the Coast strive to cultivate relationships with the property owners.  They do their very best to please their clientèle.  These people are the only ones who offer instant support...from check in to check out.  If you have a problem, a question, no matter, they are a phone call away.

Remember, some "Summer" rental companies provide great advertisements.  They are quick to learn tricks which they know may beat the legitimate competition through links in nonsense pages.  They write reams of complete foolishness in their pages so that they will pop up for any 'key word' search regardless of it's true pertinence to your travel concerns.  But there is one thing that they are NOT good at, one thing which they can NOT offer; Real Guest Services.  You cross an ocean, travelling thousands of miles in an aircraft to get to Italy's stunning Amalfi Coast and you arrive to No Service.  There is a better way to do business.  Local agents doing business as it should be done.  With personal service as the key to your Holiday enjoyment.
